Gorgeous piece!
I think there's a bit of substance missing from the throat area, imo the attachment should be around where the throatlatch is, given the amount of flexion going on. possibly halfway there in a lighter horse.
also the bridoon might have been more expressive at a different angle, to follow the direction of the rein.
wonderful expression overall though, you can really feel his discomfort at the poll.. his eye certainly speaks volumes!

Scanners u_u I know the feeling, I'm way behind too, but I'm reluctant to get it done because said scanner is old and eats half of the shading and colors all the time...

yeah :\ mine seems to scan everything except pencils perfectly, and then it eats all the nuances of shading and blows out all the whites and makes it grainy. ugh!
