Sacrificed an old gas mask I found at the bottom of the wardrobe, ripped the filter off, stuck it on a pair of those standard welding goggles, attached the metal loop thing back round the eyepiece to neaten them up.On the other eye there's another metal loop, a pressure gauge plastic cover acts as a lens. Sanded them, dry brushed in brass enamel paint. Et voila.

ah your welcome...for a while i forgot what comment i left in the first place but yeh these are tottally neat..they must be pretty heavy if they are made outa metal..i gave out on metal and fake em out of plastic...its cheap and nasty but it works

They are plastic base welding goggles, so light to begin with, the piece of the gas mask was fairly light too, so they aren't too bad. But I agree, making out of brass is great, but very heavy and uncomfortable to wear.
