*Updated image*Xersus Dantien is bigger (15ft tall) faster, stronger and more powerful than Gilead and the entire Elohim Rapha team combined. He is able to absorb any energy directed at him and use it. As yet he has not been overloaded, so there has been no observed upper limit to this ability. He does have a weakness, but it is difficult to exploit. Xersus is the most powerful person from his empire which has annexed thousands of worlds and Earth may be next.

This guy seems more interesting as an "ultimate baddie" than War Saga to me. War Saga comes off to me as someone else's weapon, perhaps a tool employed by this guy the way Post (or was it Holocaust? or both?) was employed by Onslaught in that old Marvel Comics saga.

Well, to be honest and give away a few plot points, he is not evil at all. His mission is to save worlds from War Saga. As a military leader though he must follow orders and protocol, so the only way to induct new worlds into protection of the empire is if the world has anything of value or persons of power. So he appears as the enemy at first, and quite possibly the ultimate bad guy until Gilead sees through it.
Also I should point out that my entire concept plays against type. My team is comprised of polished adults in their late twenties early thirties, my most powerful hero is a seven foot tall Black demi-angel with a half brother the nearly the same size. Demons are weaker than angels, God is stronger than the devil and being good is actually what is emphasized.
I feel you on War Saga though. I am actually glad you feel that way because it means I got the effect I wanted. I will draw him unmasked and maybe you'll change your mind though. As always I appreciate your input. Thanks, DM!

An interesting plot twist! And I like the way you approach your character designs. Our philosophies are different but it's easy to see you're not doing things in a radical way just to try to be unique; you have real structure and methods to your madness, which is more than I can say for a lot of stuff I read about.

Thanks for seeing that. I've been trying really hard to piece this together. I might as well add that there is a climactic battle between Gilead and Xersus that leads to an unprecedented event in Xersus's race's history. I just hope I can pull it off.

It's good to get excited about the big events (I keep thinking about some of the climactic battles in the later stages of WCL myself) but don't forget that characters--good, presumed evil as well as absolutely evil--have to be developed and built up so readers will care about them.

Serious looking dude! Nice job! Does that long tail have any separate properties? Can he fly regardless of the wings? What if energy was not directed at him but kept at a distance around keeping him floating in the middle to simply contain him? Does he absorb energy by contact or can he suck in energy from a distance? The circle on the head does give a slight Stargate Teal'c look, but the rest of him makes up for it! Can't wait to see more!

His wings allow him to suck in energy from a distance. He can fly without his wings. His tail is part of his fighting arsenal, but doesn't possess any special abilities beyond him fighting with it(doesn't shoot energy or suck life or energy). He couldn't be contained by a floating energy barrier. His bod(a la Superman) generates a skin tight aura that allows him to absorb all but one kind of energy, even kinetic energy. He hasn't felt physical pain since he was 6 years old. The one energy he can't absorb is only generated by one being- War Saga. But that is not his weakness. His head ring is a precursor of what's to come and has significance to his race, in the end it will be different. I love Tealc.

Like you, I'm designing OC's all the time! Besides, I think you prolly like to talk about your guys as much as I do when you're able! A lot of your character designs involve someone imbibing or expelling large amounts of raw, unspecified, energy. Just an observation
Also, I like the design a lot but if I did the colors, I would add some gold in. Just on the gloves, feet and the shoulders and pectoral muscles where there isn't any blue (maybe along the edges of the blue on the stomach too). I've always found that two flat tones doesn't seem enough unless there's a lot of excess detail put in between them to break up the color.
Of course that's just my opinion, which ultimately counts for very little. Anyhow, good job man. It's always fun to see your anatomy, I could use them for studies if I wanted to.

Thanks, man, and I'm goig to give those colors a shot. Yes I do prefer making ultrapowerful godlike beings. There are reasons though, the most important being is it makes it fun and interesting to me. Next, it is not like everything else that's cool and popular out there. I also haven't exposed my character's weaknesses because I want that to be a surprise when it's read. This guy is not invincible.
Just in case you try to read into my statement, know that I am not upset by your observation. It is completely true and I'm cool with it.

I actually prefer hugely powerful characters myself actually, but most of them are powerful in potential and finesse than in raw power. control of Fear for example, or the ability to exist outside of mathematical law, or manipulate matter to the point of actually being able to create matter and energy which is hitherto unheard of in the universe. I still find utterly powerlessness to be an interesting concept though.
I just thought it was kind of funny, I keep imagining characters bouncing the same energy around at each other like a game of hot potato. I gotta admit though, Strong Guy Vs. Sebastian Shaw would be the most awesome fight.

Thanks, DM. He is so not invincible! He is just crazy powerful. I know I make crazy outlandish gods of power type guys, but when you see how they are dealt with in the story it will make sense. As I put it together more I hope you'll still lend me a hand!
