Description As I stood looking at this scene before photographing it, I couldn't help but hum a few bars of "Home on the Range". The pioneer spirit is still strong in Montana, and parts of the state seem to have not changed at all in over 100 years.

That's the Tobacco Root Mountains in the background.

Most likely it was, but I know clouds were moving in down there as I left the area.
