Good composition. Amazing detail. Not much else to say (other than don't strip EXIFs if the camera adds them).
Don't understand why you have added that white border at the bottom though.

Originally the bottom of the photo had a blanket in it which was too close to the camera and so out of focus and it was distracting to the eye so I had to crop it but the photo looked wrong at that ratio hence the white border, I'm planning to write something in it at some point

EXIF - is just some info about a shot (lens, aperture, flash, etc.) that digital cameras add to photos.
I still think that simply cropping would make this image much better (in case that blanket was really such a big distraction).

Ah right, I didn't get rid of any but sometimes post processing in paint shop automatically wipes it. It was nothing special anyway - I shot this with a compact before I got my d80. Anyway like I said when I cropped it I just didn't like the dimensions.

Great detail; I'm not sure about the bottom crop though, it makes the design look very contemporary/modern but clashes with the natural beauty of the cat. Still a great deviation though, hope you're not mad at me!

Lol no I'm not mad. I wanted to write something in the white bit at the bottom but all the text in paintshop is coming out as really light green and I can't work out how to change it to black.

ah okies. I used to have a similar problem in Photoshop; it could possibly be the type of image colour file you're using. Try RGB instead of CMYK.

this is a nice closeup photo. i really like the sharpness and i think the focus is on the right point. but what annoys me is the rug (or what it is) under the cat. i don't like the texture of it, it doesn't really fit to the picture.
