hehe, thanks..

i`m only used Adobe Photoshop CS2 to coloring methodes,

basicly..
first i draw it in pencil,
paint it to make clear art lines,
scan it,
and using `treshold` to make easy for me to `selection`

if u question about `highlights`..
first make it sure that artlines not `cut` each others,
so, i used `selection` methodes using `magic wand` command on photoshop CS2,so..i coloring it that `area` that already i `selections` with `magic wand`

example, like u using colored-pencil to coloring an illustration,
first u colored it in basic color, example, for clothing, using `Gray (10%)` and paint it in manualy with using black color (100%) with 20% oppacity to make some `gradations`, so that make `contured` effect on clothes,
after that you will used white color 10 % to make lighting effect from other side,
from here..its depent on your talent to make that lighting become realistic..
