ive been working on this picture little by little for the last 4 weeks or so and i dont know what else to do with it. i listened to some depeche mode and nine inch nails in the beginning stages of this image and towards the end, i was listening to dimmu borgir

I'm sure you get this a lot, but this is the kind of image that really shows what I envision when I write. Because of the abstract nature, it hits on a more self-conscious level when I'm thinking about it, which makes sense as a writer since, well, I'm trying to communicate something that my mind has created.
Point is, when I look at this, I feel like I'm looking at something that could have come from my own imagination, although it's still yours and that's also what I love about it (my ideas are stale to me by the time I've come up with them.

someone else said disorienting but i don't have a better word for it.
I was drawn to the top two skulls first and imagined a manipped body from under that, but it was strange that way until eventually I perceived your face and saw your body.
The key difference being that you have brushed over yourself to the point that the third party stock material is sharper than you are.

...You really took your time on this one, and it shows. Good quality stuff. And the dark hadou (...or halo or aura or whatever you call it). Well done.
the energy of your character, "dark angel or who-ever" has good counter-change, good movement and energy.
The diagonal line is so strong that it should bisect the page separating it into two half pieces, but defying the rules of design is what knowing the rules is actually for. Dig? My eye flows through the piece with more visual interest.
the power wreathing from your hands, the subtle glow around your head, the incandescent marking on your arms all come together in an exciting work.
Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails, aye? Sick.
Like acid tabs and lidocaine.
