Made some time to play around more with using the crayon tool, more "deliberate" pen strokes (still not sure if that's the right word), and easing up on the stabilizer like I did here:

But this time with shading. The more I do this, the more I wanna lean into it as a new fundamental part of my default style, because it actually felt really comfortable to do and saved a bit of time, because what would normally be the sketch that gets inked over could just be used as the final outlines, and it felt really liberating not fighting the stabilizer constantly, with the caveat of forgoing the machine-precision impossibly-smooth outlines that I normally like of course, but there's also a charm to the element of human error, so it's like a give-and-take thing
