If you dont mind me asking, going through your work and relating to everything greatly, i feel like those things are in my mind and yet i cant get them down on paper. It is the most frustrating thing in the world and i was wondering if you couls share with me the process you go through of having an image in your head to putting to down on paper?

managing to put a metaphor, symbol, idea, even a simple image, on paper is generally hard, it takes two things (more or less) :
- technique, and this comes with time and a lot of practice
- coherence - this is how strong and expressive the elements in your work are, and most importantly how they combine to pass on the thing you had in your head
this also requires a lot of work, at first the metaphors you create are maybe a bit over-the-top, without being very strong. in time you refine your style (both technique and thinking process) and you manage to create stronger images with more subtle elements

at first all you have to do is not worry too much about how bad it all comes out... let yourself go, DRAW. then you will have something to improve upon. move forward. I think the best way for creativity is to alternately explode and analyze what you've done. the explosion (resonance phase how I like to call it) is when all inhibitions are down and you simply create, and that is followed by self-criticism (or the negative feedback phase - and now you know where I got the name for my dA account and what it means )

but you have to act, even if you do it in a bad way. act freely... analyze... act (differently)... analyze.. etc. other than that I can't give you specifics because they might not even help you that much. let stuff inspire you, music, books, films, situations... and accept what comes to your head. alos sketch a lot, even if very simple things like portraits, hands, animals, etc. these will help you gain some confidence in your technique and make you realize what you can do and what you can't, where you have to practice more...

thank you SO much! it helps me alot and makes total sense to me. also thats pretty brilliant that thats how you came up with your DA name.
