starlight was given a task from twilight to make a friend with some pony. unfortunately, no one outside of the mane 6 and spike wanted to be friends with her because of how she'd manipulate the situation. as she sat under a tree to try and figure out what to do, a snake appeared above her, hypnotized and coiled her up. maybe shoe couldn't make friends, but she could make a nice, lovely meal
