Another thing, I heard space is full of harmful particles. How does the ship protect itself from that? Or does the protection come from the thick shell? Do explain.

They can indeed produce oxygen for the interior

The shell is the main defense for this treat. it contains not only photosynthetic cells but also extremophile microbes, mostly Radiophiles, which filter most of the cosmic radiation, higher radiation and small debris are held by an electromagnetic field, and asteroids and enemy fire are held by defense turrets and stronger energy shields.

Ja sie wachsen in orbitalen Zuchtfarmen.
Und wie bei Pferden gibt es StammbΓ€ume und Zuchtbetriebe. Teilweise werden ganze Planeten fΓΌr die Schiffe terraformiert.
