This is quite an exquisite piece, your shading was well done and you executed it well. Tirek is displayed very well, with realistic proportions, I do think his leg is a little off..like a little too high for his position? Unless he is trying to step up onto a ledge or something..but I can't really tell.
Originality for this piece is a little low, seeing as there are a lot of depictions of this scene throughout Deviantart. But your personal depiction is quite unique, and very well done, "I salute you sir!"

Then do it. I know it's easier said than done. But when you find some art aspect you wish you had. Then focus on implementing that into your own stuff. Have it as the prime focus of the piece for a while, until you get used to it.
