You have to use looooooots of colors XD
His hair: that was about 10 different colors, ranging from neon yellow to dark brown
His skin was about 7 colors

I like this one, but the background and shirt....I gave up on. His hair and skin have a minimum of 10 colors in each, but the background was only one, and the shirt was two. I got lazy.

It's meant to be like a sort of rocky cliff or something along those lines..
I've put so much detail into the drawing it's unbelievable, and it's slowing Photoshop and SAI right down >.<
And because of that, I can't get that much done each day ;_;

Whenever my computer gets slow, I change all the PSD files into jpeg or png and get rid of the psd version. those files are huge.

I have a terrible habit of keeping EVERY single file I make..
Now Photoshop's slow as hell =.=
I just moved all my music files, videos and pictures onto a USB to free some space.

I'll just delete them.. I keep the .psd files, and after I've Photoshopped them, I change them into Jpegs anyway and keep both types of file ._.

Well, I've just done a clean of all my files, and got rid of about 3/4.
It's freed over 2GB of space, but Photoshop is still running slow >.>

I do that after every time I've cleared out the system..
partly why it was so slow may have been because of the file, it's huge XD
It went over the maximum layer limit of 256 in SAI XDD
I had to merge most of my layers for it just to work, so I moved it to PS and did some after effects, and it slowed right down =.=

Skin Tones
Then there's like a list of about 20 layers XD
Because I use so many, I have to give them all very specific names :3

Ahhhhh. Yeah I color the midtone on one. Shade on another (maybe). And highlight. Maybe blush. Merge them...and use the burn and highlight tool a bit. Change saturation a little. And done. I'm very lazy...so the skin ends up being just one layer .____.

When it comes to skin tone layers I usually have:

Darker
Darkest
Lighter
Midtones
Highlights
Extra
Additional Light
Gradient
Darker Gradient

Like I said, I usually add more if I'm not happy with the result, meaning I can have up to 20 or so layers XD
