scattered throughout the evolving urban mass of the yellow city, factories producing machines, mechas and humanoid synthetics rise and fall like empires. they are veritable kingdoms, ruled by passionate mechapriests and ruthless constructors. these titanic industries wage war against one another for resources and control of the yellow city, an interminable plight that has wrought ruin up certain areas of the city.

in the wake of one of these wars, some dead factories can still be found standing, though they have usually been disembowelled and emptied of all their machinery by their conquerors. within them, lost travellers may find shelter from the chaos reigning outside. if they are lucky, they might even find useful remnants from the previous residents of these industrial palaces.
