I feel there's a shortage of strong female characters in manga. So my friend Ahme suggested I do a character design of a female, with the personality of Black Star from Soul Eater.Originally when I drew the character she was flat chested and had a different mouth set, which made her look like Edward from Full Metal Alchemist. After attempting to give her kinda small breasts (I failz hard), I realized I can only do large breasts for some reason (0_o)
I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the energy balls in her hands, do they look o.k. or strange to you?
The stance was influenced by Bleach as usual, the rest was influenced by Full Metal Alchemist and Soul Eater.
She turned out to be a little darker than expected but I have to say she's probably my favorite work to date, tied with Isamu...
She has no name yet, so feel free to suggest something. I'm horrible at giving names to characters.

She looks really cool, and I love the boobs. I don't know about a name, how about Akatori? It's a japanization of the name of a Chinese warrior princess who managed to protect her home from an army when she was fifteen I think.
You're right about the lack of strong female characters too. I think there are only two manga that I've ever read where there were a lot of really strong females: Hellsing and Bleach. It's hard being a girl who likes shonen manga...

I said in a comment over there, she should be called Madoka 円. It's a unisex name and it means circle or round.

Although, as a girl, I think her hips are a bit too small aka disproportionate in comparison to her shoulders/boobs...

Yeah. The funny part is that once (on a different site) I created a character with hips proportionate to boobs and everyone crapped on it. Saying that fat manga characters were stupid *rolls eyes*
For the record, in real life, the girls without hips are completely unattractive :-/

Wow! Pretty awesome, nice pose too. I agree with you that, there is a shortage of strong feminine characters in anime/manga. This chick definitely looks ready to kick some ass! The energy blasts/balls in her hand do have a Soul Eater feel too them but I think they fit. Very awesome work indeed. Naming is always the hardest part... okay this is random but what about Miharu?

Yeah. I looked off of a Soul Eater manga for the balls... it was what I had in mind. Kinda not sure how I feel about them. I may actually even try coloring this one. I think color would make the balls look better.
