The Powerpuff Girls as Gothic Lolitas.It just came to me one day.
An epiphany.
(A reaction, too, after i learned there was such a thing as Powerpuff Girl pr0n!)
So i had to modify their costumes--invert them, really--to get enough black there.
Guess who's who.
Don't they look lovely and forlorn?
I've never seen a redhead Lolita, but...first time for everything.
I'm impressed with how well the ringlets in Bubbles's hair came out.
But i like Buttercup's hair best. (I gave her a Lolita headpiece to parallel the bow and the pigtails--makes for a balanced picture.)
It was indeed fun drawing this. The skirts and ruffles were best, especially.
It's been around for a while, but i've been...meh. Been meh about submitting things lately.
Don't sue me.
I'm unemployed.
That's why i could do something like this.
(I put this in fanart, even though i'm not really a fan. And i'm submitting it because a dear sweet darling friend of mine desperately wanted to see it.

I guess it really is black in the cartoon, isn't it? Uhm...i don't remember my real reasoning, but i think it was because there was going to be so much black in the rest of the picture i didn't want to put more on it. Or: creative license...

when I first saw it, with the girls standing in a row in dresses with blank expressions (at first glance, they're blank, then you get the forlorn bit) my first reaction was "little boy on tricicle! redrum! redrum!" >.< gomen ne!
