I drew these guys for a project for my evolutionary biology class.
I... I just really love theropods/ bird ancestors. Okay.
From left to right:
Dilong, Sinosauropteryx, Anchiornis huxleyi, Microraptor, Epidexipteryx, Archaeopteryx, and Confuciusornis sanctus.
The coloration of sinosauropteryx and anchiornis are actually accurate to how they were when they were alive (according to modern science, anyway!) Pretty exciting. I invented the others' colors myself though.
welp, now I know more about bird evolution than anyone really needs to know. And I really, really like drawing theropods.

It was great. We'd go on field trips up to the local dinosaur museum as well as into a nearby canyon and find footprints and fossils in different places while my teacher explained the geology of the place. Once, while he was showing us some underprints on some red rock, he shoved out some more rock and there were more underprints there. The man was insane.
Also, we watched Jurassic Park and had a pizza party and we had to point out the inaccuracies in it. Definitely one of my favorite classes (except for those hideous research papers. Ugh).
