I noticed that you took your drawn image, outlined it, and then colored it on some sort of program like Photoshop. How do you perform the outlining stage of coloring an image with Photoshop? My problem is that the pencil marks go all over the place, which makes coloring it very difficult. This outline is very sharp; please share your secrets!

Well, the only difference I know is that this lineart is tapered, meaning there are parts where its thick and parts where its thin.

I first draw a small sketch of renamon on the corner of the paper, then I draw the main sketch in pencil. Because I already have the small sketch as reference the proportions are easier to draw and compare and so I already know where I want the lines to go. The only guide lines I used was a basic skeleton and these were easily erased.

With the line sketch, use a thick pencil to boldly trace the lineart. Place a piece of paper under your hand while you are doing so to avoid smudging the paper. Feel free to rotate the paper to draw any lines at a more comfortable angle.

Basically I then erase any untidy lines and scan the image in, then use photoshop to adjust the 'layers' setting until I'm satisfied with the results.

Well, I've only used this method twice... hope it works for you.

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a shot and let you know when I finish an image with Photoshop. Thanks again!

Thankies... What did I use... ummm just drew her bigger than normal on A4 paper. Drew a small sketch in the tiny corner of the paper before drawing the larger picture to scale. Pencil to thicken and taper the lines then scan in and adjust the 'black/white'-ness in photo shop adjustments.

Yes go ahead, but please link and give due credit to me. The last time someone coloured in my kaiserenamon just by filling it in black, he didn't give me linkage or proper credit. Couldn't help but feel slightly fussed about it... ah well.
