Larger version + original Quilava. [link] I have no idea why the lineart looks worse when I resized it. Making something smaller shouldn't detract from the quality, right?

For ’s pokemon gijinka project. I’ve wanted to draw one of these for a while…Too bad the pokedex announced today that they wouldn’t be accepting anymore submissions until March 2. OTL
Quilava. Because the moment I saw it, I deemed it to be my favorite second-generation pokemon.
I was thinking of drawing feathers protruding from her head and behind to portray flames, but…I don't think I'll be in the mood to draw a Las Vegas showgirl anytime soon. I actually had inked the lineart with a pen…but when I scanned it, I ended up redoing all of it digitally because the ink wasn’t dark enough and had left white spots within the lines. :C

This one is really good I think it could use more shading though. You also have detail issues that need to be added as a touch up on the apparel, other than that youv got a grade A piece.

Hmm; I read your last comment about the trouble with scanning your lines and having white show up with the lines for some reason. I usually get that with white or grays, but I try to solve it using photoshop by making the lines layer set to "multiply" and even making a duplicate of the original lines layer. But, well, maybe you've tried that stuff already...
I wanted to say how much I love this piece. ^_^ Even if you couldn't get the showgirl look you originally wanted, the newer punk look of this character looks terrific. Not to mention it seems natural for most people to think of or create guy forms of these ginjinka, and yet here your girl version is just so gorgeous ^__^ I love the hair color and hues you used for this piece altogether.
