Very neat. I'm glad to see you going a completely new route once in a while, even more so that your blowing some steam. I like the way the Raven itself turned out but i feel thrown off when my eyes wander mostly in the foreground trees. The general trees its are too distracting from the main subject, as well as the art seems a bit off from the style of the raven. Another distraction is the brush used for effect on them. In too many places you can almost see where you clicked due to repeating identical elements, which brings down the quality some.

Now for the good parts. The background trees look well down and fit pretty well with the general style of the raven. The eye effect also gives a neat feel to the bird itself, kinda giving it an eerie feeling. I am very surprised at how well you separated the birds feathery body with the beak, as it looks smooth but is still in style with the bird.

RECAP:

Pros: Neat effect on bird's body
Eyes fit well
A break from standard work
Background trees are nice

Cons: Blending work needs to be done with some brushes to fight repetition
Toning down the foreground branches would help focus on the subject more, and de-clutter the picture to a degree

I hope you take my critique/review/comment with a grain of salt. Just telling some ideas on how to approve! Not happy i was late though >.> As of writing this, I am 2 days, 15 hours late from you submitting it XD I prolly glanced over it due to your different style.
