I'm sorry, as a Zelda nerd I just have to point out a few things. But I'll do it nicely
I'll start with the details. Yes they're picture perfect in design, however...the color is a little bit off. Just about all of them are too bright and vivid, whilst in official artwork, models, textures, and fanart, the cape color and design color don't contrast so much. You seem to be using a near black, and white. I would suggest at least dimming the white to a dull, middle toned gray. It might not sound that good in text, but it will definately make the costume look much more like the desired character. Don't worry, you're not alone, a lot of Midnas have too bright of markings.
The skin color is also off, but y'know, I'm aware how hard mixing enough makeup to do that is, so I'm just going to point it out and nothing more. However, (and I'm fully aware that there is enough make up in this costume @_@) I do believe Midna wears purple eye shadow that goes up to her eyebrows?
Last thing I can see is the one thing that a LOT of Midna cosplayers overlook. The two pieces of hair that wrap around to the back of the head and into the bow should be pinned to the bangs, not left to hang off in the front. You said on that site with the troll review that you pinned the hood down already, so, maybe pinning those onto the bangs won't be so much of an issue?
I'm sorry if any of that sounded mean D: Your midna costume is just one of the best I've ever seen, and I just want to see it made better with a few changes that a lot of people overlook.

First, please feel free to make the costume better, and let me know when you get around to creating your own Midna costume from scratch.
Why would you EVER compare my cosplay to a fanart, where 99% of the time, the colors and design are off?
I did NOT use white, actually, I used a silver. I think a mid toned gray would look like shit. Feel free to make your own costume with your own time and money and prove me wrong.
The skin color I'm not even going to touch. Her skin color changes constantly in references, both in game, game models, etc. Surprisingly enough, I stared at references for hours on end while creating this costume with my own two hands. and I do have purple eyeshadow on. It's a PERSONAL ARTISTIC LIBERTY that I decided to not use extremely opaque shadow up to the brows because that doesn't look as good to me. Problem? too bad.
Lastly, I'm not sure what you're talking about at all with the hair that goes into a bow. I have it, and it looks exactly how it should. Why would I pin them to the bangs?
I'm not going to completely remake my costume because of your personal aesthetic opinions that don't mean anything to me. You didn't even point out the parts of the costume I actually AM going to change. I'd suggest that you keep your opinions to yourself so that you don't continue to make an ass of yourself in the future. You're not a costumer, you have no idea what goes into making this, and nobody asked for your opinion

Well...I never said you had to remake the costume, I was just pointing out a few things you could keep in mind if you ever do remake the costume.
However I can see that this was a mistake, because you obviously can't take even a kind critique without giving some form of backlash. I thought I was being very kind in my critique, and was in no way trying to make you feel bad about the costume or force you to remake it. I was merely touching upon details that could make the costume look better as I said IF you remake it.

however, nobody asked you for critique. You opinions were unwanted and unfounded. I don't agree with them. If you think that someone that made their own costume with their own two hands doesn't know every single small thing on the costume they'd like to change, you're completely wrong. Every single reference is slightly different in colors, and nit picking my color choices doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
This has nothing to do with me not being able to take critique, it has to do with the fact that I don't think it's your place, nor do I have faith in your ability to give such critique. You overstepped your boundaries. I wouldn't suggest doing this to others any more, either, since I know you have in the past.
