Narniaaa.
This is from The Silver Chair where Pole, Scrubb and Puddleglum find that book in the giants' kitchen saying how best to sautee humans and marshwiggles and other creatures that would probably vocally object to getting sauteed. I imagine that the giant's version of a potted plant would be like, an entire oak tree.Scrubb > Pevensies btw. 8D

the pevensies got a bit annoying after two books- they're too nice!

I stared at this for several seconds and then it clicked... I need to dig up those old Narnia books again.
And I have to say, the most interesting of the books for me were the ones not including the Pevensie quartet (including this one, obviously).
Anyway, I like how this looks like it was painted in a slapdash way, but is still...pretty.

Funny I just finished that book a few minutes ago and had a sudden urge to look for pretty art about it and ta-dah! In comes this beautiful picture! The beldn of colours is spectacular, Puddleglum has this dirty scarecrowish feel to him that really suits that amazing character, and Pole and Scrubb's expressions are priceless (although I do prefer the Pevs over him, sorry

That scene made me nervous. D8 I wanted to yell out the obvious to them as soon as the Lady of the Green Kirtle told them to tell the giants she'd sent them "for" the feast. DUHRRRR, GUYS

The Silver Chair has to be my fave narnia book, because they get nearly everything wrong, but still manage to bring the awesome. Well...Magician's Nephew is either tied or close second.
I love your Puddleglum, Eustace and Jill... I think this illustration has changed the way I imagine the characters. Love it!

wow, this brings back memories...! I love the way you colored this, it's so cozy looking. Maybe that doesn't exactly reflect the mood of the scene, but it totally feels like a children's book illustration and brings me back

I so loved that book, even with the rubbish prince at the end. They break the spell and he is still rubbish.
