Anders is a better lover than Alistar. XPHas now played both Dragon Age Origins and Awakening and Dragon Age 2, so now it was about time to draw a fan art picture. The picture describes my love relationships I had in the games.

My first Origin Playthrough I was like "Well EFF Off Alistair. Thanks for nothing..." (I was pretty upset... I wanted to be a Magic Queen) then with Anders I was like "Its good to be loved by someone who doesnt date me then dump me when hes in Power ^w^ " (He was a crazy guy who blew up a church but at least he doesnt dump you....)

Why are you mad at Alistair when it's his society that forces him to behave that way if he's king? He was probably just trying to spare the non-human Warden's feelings by saying it was because she was a Warden. Much as I don't like him, he's not racist. It's not like it was any big surprise that elves (and dwarves to a certain extent) were second-class citizens. Alistair has to rule through the authority of all those assholes in the Landsmeet, he's High King-- not an Emperor. He can't just act contrary to them and expect them to swear fealty. Most of them would spit in his face-- bastard son of a elven slut who married another elven slut. Check his ears to see if they're pointed. That kind of thing- you know what big jerks people can be, especially if they think they're entitled to something. His nobles aren't going to just pat his head and say what a good king you are for recognizing elven rights.
Anders is drowning in Justice and desperately trying to cling to anything to save himself. The ending where Hawke runs off with Anders -- Think of what kind of mess you leave the rest of Kirkwall in (and think about what's coming when all of Flemeth's plans come to fruition-- be damned hard for Fereldan to seek aid from the Freemarches if they're destroyed). You doom Orana to what-- the life of a fugitive with you? Or just leaving her behind to be taken advantage of again. What about Hawke's surviving family? Gamlen, Charade and your sibling (if they lived). What about all the good people who will die while Vengeance rampages around the countryside... Anders isn't even Anders anymore--- if you rival him you see how very little of the real Anders there is left and how he's holding on by his fingernails. He's frightened, hopeless, and he wants you to kill him before Vengeance destroys what remains. Vengeance will never bet satisfied-- that's pretty clear when Anders kills (or at least attempts to- if you've got enough pull with him to make him stop) that poor little mage girl that dares question his glorious plans. How long before Anders is completely gone and Hawke is murdered in her sleep because Vengeance doesn't approve of her? I feel for Anders, I really do. He's a good person in a terrible situation. I wish there was an option to hug him while you stab him. I want him to have the dignity of his own death and not have the last of his light swallowed up by the sick monster Justice has become.

I think we've got one extreme Alistair fangirl here XDD. I really like it, though. But you know... it's weird how his reasoning goes. My character is a Cousland, and she married Alistair and he didn't have anythign to say about both of them being Grey Wardens. See this is why you use the *everyone can marry Alistair* patch

Actually, I don't really like Alistair all that much (he's too saccharine and self-centered- very childlike) and marry him to Anora to cement her authority with twits like Eamon.

You didn't have to make Alistair king... he would've stayed with you, then - not that you ever see him in Awakening. All the love interests mysteriously go on journeys during that whole saga.

And since I'm a Cousland it's pretty much a happy ever after. Except for the fact that I mysteriously disappear. Damn.

Well, Hawke disappeares at the end of DA2. They both mysterioously disappear, so I think that they got in some sort of trouble together. I heard a rumor that in DA3 you can play as both the Warden and as Hawke. I think maybe that it's Flemmeth's fault (You bring her back to life in DA2)

I like the idea of switching between two storylines - one with the Warden and one with Hawke - and then them meeting up at the end and having a muscle-flex-off in an epic battle to save the world or something.

Ya I wanted an option to punch Alistair. That was just a horible thing to do. And then I met Anders in Awakening and I was like Yay new romance! Then they say no romancing and I was like But... but... but Anders. Than when you could romance him in 2 I was like yay then he was no longer the flurty lightning shooting at fools-y earing wearing awesomeness that he was before. I still love him and all I just miss his earing. But again I'm rambling love the picture. Definatly had to go in the faves.

Hey you know, there IS a patch where you can punch Alistair. IT's when he tries to take your place killing the Archdemon. You knock him out and then kill it yourself

HEre I'll tell you what to do anyway. You click on the little tab that says Files (1), and download the file there. You need to get something that can unzip the file (I use WinRAR, and I find it pretty easy to work with but you might have something of your own already). Then you move it into the Override folder. The folders you click on go Libraries, Documents, My Documents, BioWare, DragonAge, packages, core, override. Name it something like "Marry Alistair". There's also a really nice one that someone made of the wedding that you and Alistair have together--beautiful! but you need to be a member of the site to get it. Hope that helped!
