I've started getting a lot more involved with manual edits for pieces like this, slowly getting familiar with Photopea and how I can best use it for AI work (I might write a guide for it at some point!). Some of the main image manipulations I did were obviously compositing in the hands, and a lot of colour adjustments to get things looking right - things like making the colours look more cohesive, fixing the order of the colour bands, and making the fur a more uniform colour (the AI liked to mess this up on the good gens, for some reason).
In addition to manual edits, I've started to see the benefit of utilising scribbles to help along inpainting for areas where the AI will struggle. This is what the original generation looked like, and this is one of the scribbles I'd drawn out for areas I wanted to change up. You can see how it helped with the inpainting, with the fixed up ribbon tips, changed ears, fixed face, and newly introduced front ribbons. Yeah, if you're wondering why the front ribbons don't look amazing, it's because I drew them (which is pretty bad given one of the most recent Draw A Box exercises I did was the ribbon drawing one...).
