Description

“Inosculation is a natural phenomenon in which trunks, branches or roots of two trees grow together. Such trees are often colloquially referred to as ‘husband and wife’ trees, or ‘marriage trees’” ("Inosculation", 2021).

“The unity sand ceremony is a tradition in which a couple pours sand from separate vessels into a unified, central one. It represents two people coming together in marriage” (Krueger, 2020).

And so, ElfSama and I brainstormed a way to merge these ideas together to depict TNT’s unity!
We collaborated on the sketch, Sama did the lines, and I experimented with a bit of sand and glue.
(I’d also like to note Sama provided excellent color tips and encouragement when I started getting twitchy.)

Here’s to every adventure these two have been on, and to those they’ve yet to face.
There is no doubt, together, they are strong enough to handle whatever may come~
