I did this painting time ago using Photoshop. I got really used to work in 1 single layer by now, it gives me chance of making quick changes on the image without really screwing everything up. And I'm trying not to focus too much on rendering details, and more on the overall feeling of the piece than anything else

It would be interesting to know what song she like so much. Maybe 'dance away" form project A-ko (1986)? This would fit in with her. (Especially the Japanese version.)

You've always been doing really good work with the single layer, but this really shines because you did a fantastic job on the "coarser" textures for highlighting and shading, giving this the look of a high-end poster print. The contented young lady is very pretty and natural as she chooses some tunes, and along with terrific anatomy I love that school uniform.

Then the color highlighting in her hair gives a super-sweet feeling too. (Maybe it's a distant relationship to Vanellope Von Schweetz⦠but actually it reminds me more of this piece by 2Dea/DeBellini .
