Here's my first lesson. And hope you don't get offended by what I'm writting. Remember, my first language is french not english. What sounds ok in french may sound funny in english. but I mean no disrespect.
Well first, if you want your drawings to get better, get yourself some 4h pencil. The lead is very light on it. We use that to build our figure. Think of it as layers, start with the skeleton and move in with muscles. And don't use papers with lines, get a sketch pad. I'm just wondering, how old are you? Do you have any kind of formation? I'm just asking so when I refer to something you can understant what I'm sayin, or else I'll just explain the terms.

That's good,if you're determined and are ready to work hard, you'll improve in no time. What I recommend is that you start sketching every day. Try at least sketching for 15 minutes a day. It can be anything, chairs, pots, houses, friends, family, animals...everything. Don't try to make the best drawing possible, just try to get the essence of what your sketching. Like I said it's a sketch, don't take more then 2 to 5 minutes on it. Try to do this at least once a day, if you can do it more often the better.

I do that already. But see, I draw sort of industrial, steampunk, fantasy sort of people. I'm not good with the super realistic thing.... or faces and fingers for the matter.

In any form of art, you need the basics. Even in steampunk/fantasy. You don't need to be supergood in realistic, just need to know how the human body works. You just have to practice like I said atleast 10 to 15 minutes a day. You'll see the improvement quickly. Don't dicourage yourself after the first attempt, give yourself time. There's a book call How to draw the marvel way, try to look at it. It has really good tips in it.
