Description
Part of a Battle I'm drawing between Twilight and a mystery opponent (I wont tell you who it is, that would ruin the surprise)I am going to update in two parts: first part is twilight (done) next part will be her opponent and the background.

Yap, VW's are ridiculously pricey these days, and I didn't get one.
In the end a friend turned me onto an orange '69 GMC Handivan, all windows, short wheel base, and I nabbed that up. [link]
I will finally start to do some serious work on it this coming week, as I have been busy with FSAE and other stuff until this last week.

First it's a functional resto, so it's not rusty and such. If I keep it long enough and miraculously the price jumps to ridiculous land, sure, I'll do a full resto.

I think you've done a really great job and the pose is very dynamic! I love the shading as well. But if I may point out some things..
You said that she is in battle? Her emotional expression in the eye seems lacking.. She looks withdrawn and the mouth could use more snarl (if you're trying to make her look angry that is, I'm only assuming this.) It needs more emotion!
And her ear looks a little off too, I think it may be a perspective thing.
I hope this isn't annoying/helps ^u^

Yea, she is supposed to look angry not in a burning fit of rage but yea she is angry . And you are defiantly right, the facial expressions need to be more animated, I’ll add a little curve to the lip and fire in the eye, I’ll see what I can do to get her looking more aggressive before making the final picture. I'll try to figure out what is up with the ear too; you suppose it's turned out too far?

I would narrow her eyes a little bit more for the anger. And with the ears, maybe make them a little longer?

I wonder who her opponent is? Chrysalis seeking revenge? Discord causing problems? Celestia, Luna, or Cadence working on a training exercise? Gummy in a hot air balloon?
Only critique I have is her mane is acting more like ribbons than individual strands of hair, but the orderliness fits Twilight's personality, so I'm not complaining.

Dang it, You guessed the identity of Twilight's opponent. Gummy was always a worthy adversary, only now with the aid of his aerostatic craft he has become more powerful then anyone has ever imagined! Utilizing his new advantage he throws ponyville into a reign of chaos and sugar sprinkles. It is up to Twilight to face Equestria's new threat and restore peace to the land.
As far as the hair goes my current style is the individual loose hair strands "fuzzy style" I was planning on doing that with this one but as I started drawing I found that It didn't go well with the picture
