This is a very odd piece. Despite the "dirty" or "messy" appearance, she doesn't seem crude at all but rather as perfect as a sculpture. She reminds me of a bird in many ways, both her hair and clothing and also her pose. The way her eyes and the point of her nose stand out also emphasizes this aspect. I feel like the collar works better in this pose than in the first one, probably because you can still see some of her neck so it appears to be longer.
