Riven anyone?
I started modelling this for another picture: fav.me/d5xufcn but i liked the preview shots enough to make it a stand alone scene...

Awesome modelling and rendering. That so reminds me of Riven and the mode of transport used to get from Island to island. I wonder if making the transport module a slightly different colour might work better. Just thinking put loud.

So it was inspried by Riven very cool, no wonder I took to liking it straight away. Yeah mad Myst fan I can't deny it.

Out of all of them I do prefer Riven for a number of reasons, look, story wise and all clues are within one game, everything you need to complete it. Have you seen the project StayExpanse where they are making Riven a 3D environement. Seems like they have premission to use the original textures. How high res they are I don't know but it looks promising.

Riven feels the most like a world that someone could actually live in i guess. And the visuals are really mindblowing for the time it was made, cant imagine how much patience they needed back then
Looks interesting but the demo wont load unfortunately, maybe too early.

I have seen others reporting the same on the Myst Online Uru Live website recently. Not a great demo but a nice glimpse of what could be.
