Description This is abandoned underground dock for soviet union submarines in Balaklava.
Now it is opened for visitors and even weak - lightened.
You can hear splashes in the dark water and compote of medusas.
The construction was designed for use in case of nuclear war.

when seeing this picture, I always imagine what it like when that submarine base was still operational buzzing with activity, sailors and officer walking here and there, doing that, done that, many chit-chats, submarines come and gone.

ahhh

If You will ever visit that place - You'll imagine that much better! You'll see all that long narrow corridors, having regular turns. And rails on the floor of that corridor. And the main thing - loudspeakers transmitting sounds of working underground dockyard.
And town around that place is still looks very old-USSR-time.

mmm.. for Russian boat open for visit - try to look in Tushino in Moscow - crew you'll find somewhere around that place
In Balaklava no any boats right now, only empty tunnels, in Sevastopol (near it) only military boats in operate.

Thnks foe feedback!
Looks like the monotonous architectural details and the mirror of them in the still water made the picture looking like kaleidoscope. Interesting effect, when utilitarian ugly constructions give life to some kind of beauty and harmony.
