Description She left the web, she left the loom,
She made three paces through the room,
She saw the water-lily bloom,
She saw the helmet and the plume,
She look'd down to Camelot.
Out flew the web and floated wide;
The mirror crack'd from side to side;
"The curse is come upon me," cried
The Lady of Shalott.

In the stormy east-wind straining,
The pale yellow woods were waning,
The broad stream in his banks complaining.
Heavily the low sky raining
Over tower'd Camelot;
Down she came and found a boat
Beneath a willow left afloat,
And around about the prow she wrote
The Lady of Shalott.

This is (hopefully) the first in a series of poem-related photomanipulations. We'll see how well that works out .

gorgeous! and i lovve that poem.. its actually my favorite..
i love how it has a very mystical feel to it.. and the blue tones are really effective..
the only thing i would suggest though is maybe you blurred the face a bit too much.. i think if you could see more of the girl's facial expression, it would make the piece more powerful..
other than that, great work!

Yes it is.

Knowing the people in my classroom who are involved it might not be too pretty

This is wonderful! I've been trying to take up photomanipulation...but alas, I only have Photoshop Elements 2.0. Not much I can do with that.

Ah, you should try looking online for free trials. Or do what I did - find someone who has it and ask to borrow it Once you get that I'm sure your stuff will look amazing and I'll keep an eye out for it

Yay, thank you. I wanna see if the art teacher will let me use Photoshop...I'm taking Graphic Design, and I usually get my work done early...so maybe she'll let me have some more computer time...
