i love carnivals. my family owns a business, two concession stands, actually, that are taken to certain carnivals or fairs in our general area. it's actually kind of fun. it's fun to watch people line up with excitement for the wide variety of rides. you can smell all kinds of different woods; pizza, italian sausage, fried dough, cotton candy... one would think the smell would be terrible, but it's really not. the sound is deafening; not because of the intensity or volume of the sound, but simply because it has has just the right amount of upbeat energy to pull you from your thoughts and make you forget everything going on in your life.Related content

This shot embodies the fun and beauty of a carnival and the infamous carousel. The gold and copper hues of this shot bring out the unique experience that a child would experience here.The golden sky shines as if all the world revolved around this single shot.
The photograph is simply a lovely sight to look at. I can tell that you have an eye out for perfect subjects to photograph, even an object as simple as a carousel. I would have to say this is one of your best shots. You did a wonderful job capturing this picture and applying the colors.

i was having such issues with the color... i was going to leave it with full color at first, but it didn't have as much of an impact. ugh, it was a pain.

I like this picture very much. It has a great ambiguity. I see the "wow" moment that child experiences with the carnival and all the wonderful rides. However, the lack of people and the eerie sky gives a very ominous feel. Like "Something Wicked This way Comes..". Great photo. I was drawn to it immediately. Nice work!!!
