Description This was a request from my grandmother. The original is in black and white [link] It was a photo that was taken before the castle went into ruins. She wanted it in color, so with the help of some photos of the ruins and a little imagination this is what I came up with. I think she'll like it.

Well, I think this is gorgeous. Castle Caldwell is actually part of my ancestry, so it's particularly lovely to me

Same with my Grandma she wanted it to add to her records. Actually as I recalled she wanted a print to put in the records so she could frame the original. Its been a while since I did the project.

Oh wow.~ So this is what it looked like before?

I got the pleasure of seeing it last year. ...We didn't see the "Keep out, Dangerous building" sign until we left. x3;; It was totally ruined, but in that really neat sort of way, and there was a tree holding up that front wall. I'm torn between wanting to see it restored, like the other castles are being these days, and wanting it to stay all overgrown. It was just so cool.~ *w*

I'm going to show this to my mom though. 8D

I'm jealous I would love to see it for real. Just looking at the photos I used as reference, it looked a like something that would be beautiful even in ruins.

Oh, it was. I didn't post any of the pictures here though.. x3; Half weren't very good because it was so dark in the underground parts. We used my flash as a flashlight. If you ever get the chance to go, you really should. Just, be very careful. D: It IS a ruin, after all.
It was totally covered in vines and stuff too. We didn't realize what it was until we went behind it, where we entered from. We couldn't even see the main entrance for all the green.
