I think the ears are the problem.

Yes... I was thinking that they are the shades of the ear canals and what not... it got displaced, but in iray you were able to give translucency there so that it did not make that much prominent esp when you reshape the ear. But yes it is possible to use 3Delight to great effect is also the texture is good. SubD effect loss can be compensated with a plugin... something called the intro... something something lol! I cannot remember.
All the technical stuff aside, it is a great render mate!

Excellent skin Rian, you have lost me on gamma settings! Β Yes I can see the soft hair on her chin too.

Yes, those bits. I think they are meant to go along the inside of the ear to create the impression of more detail (for older models and renderers that were not so physically accurate), rather than showing on the outside..?
Great to see 3Delight still has a place in creating beautiful renders!

Here you have the skintexture on a normal ear, and you can see that they are a sort of orange spots on her ear...;London ear

It just looks strange to me, but it must be the way it is made.

I wonder why they were made that way. Those preview images are so nice, they do not need extra definition in those areas.

Very beautiful.
I always use Gamma Correction at 2.20.
What setting did you use here?

I love 2.20, never go below anymore.

Render without GC at 2.20 is , for me, the best.

Wow, she's so sweet and cute ! In terms of facial morphing, I likeΒ especially her big bright eyes, but alsoΒ his fineΒ and sharpΒ noseΒ aboveΒ the adorable little mouth of hers. In terms of skin material, yes, the "London" skin texture looks so rich and detailed and realistic ("life-like", you may say).
And her helmet/headpiece is soΒ unique, so fantasy-style, looking great with her elf ears.
A very nicely done portrait of a little charming elf !
