I've done a half portrait of her before, but still wanted to revisit it and make it even more stark and simple, I think she can pull it off.Staedtler Mars Lumograph pencils (ranging from 2B to 5B) on extra smooth Bristol board, 8 x 11".

the incredible thing for me here is the mouth, i feel like i could just tap her teeth and get that familiar lightly solid feel/sound . amazing stuff

Oh, and I was wondering if you had any tips on shading? You've mastered it beautifully! Do you smudge, or crosshatch, or what? That would be nice, I'm horrible at shading x)

I do lots of layers, both crosshatch and circulism. A bit of blending when I want to go for a very smooth look, but certainly no smudging

Another one of my favourite actress, and I am even more awed. Great job. The only thing is, the eye looks so much darker than the rest so the balance is slightly off. But it looks just like her, and the features are so realistic.
