Soul sat on his bike waiting for Maka to come back with there destination. The day was quiet and calm but something in his stomach twisted and turned. Something was going to happen and it wasn't going to be good. Maka skipped down the steps of the hotel. "The lady at the information desk said there is an old factory just on the outside of the east part of town. Lets get the others and check it out." Soul sped off to where the others were meeting them. He still felt worried but they had to stop who ever this vampire person was.
Everyone was sitting at a stone picnic table. Black star was yelling at passerby's asking them if they want his autograph. "Black star your scaring the kids." Tsubakie said tugging on his shirt. "Oi lets hurry up and go." Soul yelled at the group. "YAHOO! Now I can finally kick some vampire ass." "Do you even know where to go black star?" kid said rolling his eyes at the blue monkey boy. "Not a clue." "Were going to an abandoned factory just to the east." maka said on the back of the bike. "Lets get going." every one sped off to there destination. What awaited them was a mystery
The factory doers were rusted and cracked just like the rest of the building. Maka could feel the wave length of someone hungry for blood but still far off in the distance " He's in here somewhere. We'll have to split up."
"What Maka that could be dangerous."
"Don't worry Soul every thing will be okay trust me." Soul still didn't want to split up. If he was kicked away or if Maka dropped him she could be seriously injured or killed. Still they walked away from the group.
It wasn't long before they came upon a tall man in a long jacket. "Hey isn't he the guy who bumped into you yesterday?" Soul said in his blade "yea thats him." Maka focused on the mans soul. It was a dark restless soul with nothing but the urge for blood and lust " So you decided to deliver yourself to me? Thank you for saving me the trouble of having to hunt you down." A smile that could make the dead scream played on the mans face "now I will enjoy you... Body and soul." Maka could finally get a good look at her opponent. His hair was a mousy colored brown, his eyes were a deep shade of blue that glowed against the shadows. His clothes and skin was stained with the sent of blood. "This man killed recently I can feel it." Maka said preparing to charge "Where did you hide the bodies of those girls you murdered?" Soul questioned with a growl. "Murdered? I simply enjoyed them no harm done to anyone but them, but thats there problem not mine."
"tsk you bastard!" Maka screamed as she threw a blow at the beast. Her swing was filled with anger and strength. "How rude! Striking at someone whom you don't even know. I will be so kind as to teach you some manners." the vampire pounced above Maka's attack with the speed of a bird. "Why don't we start with the introduction? My name is Leach the vampire." Leach vanished from Maka's sight in a second "where the hell did he go?!" a cold hand garbed her shoulder sending a stream of fear down her spine "what is your name little mouse?" Leach whispered against her ear "HAAAAAA!" Maka screamed as she flung around swinging Soul in his direction "don't toy with me you pervert Im not one to let you do what you please." she said confidently even as she missed her target. Soul smiled as his wielder commanded "soul resonance." the air around them became a wind as there souls joined together, increasing there power to a new level "Witch hunter!" Maka screamed as she sped towards the vampire "take this you dirty blood sucking perv" the blade went strait thew Leach's chest. "oh my, my clothes are ruined how troublesome."
'What? how is he still alive I sliced strait threw his chest!" Maka said jumping backwards to avoid an attack. "You are quite the fool to not notice the spell I cast not a moment ago. SOUL FREEZ!" Leach made a symbol with his hands causing a burst of light to shine in his palm. Maka felt her body become tens and numb. She fell to the ground lifeless, her eyes turned dull and sad. she was nothing but a doll to the world in this state. "Maka!" Soul changed to his human form picking up his girl holding her helpless body. "So her name is Maka how nice." Leach said licking his lips "What did you do to her you bastard?" Soul growled glaring his crimson eyes at the villain "I just hit pause on her soul. She'll sleep like a doll forever, or at least until I suck out her soul. Soul felt his heart sink to the bottom of his chest. He could do nothing but run with her in his arms "I have to get her out of here now... Damn it I knew she would get hurt I just knew it!" he cursed at himself
