Description Ε½umberak, Croatia

Ε½umberak is a beautiful mountain quite near Zagreb, but today not too many people live there. It's also part of the nature park, and efforts are made to preserve what is left of the old culture there, some people even restoring old buildings and such stuff, to start country tourism.
Sight like this is very rare anywhere in Croatia today, and I was happy that this grandpa allowed me to take some photos of him, his horses and an old cart for wood (or hay) transportation.

hvala ti. neki bi rekli da bi bilo bolje da je osvjetljenje jednolicno ili da su kola bila u pokretu...al ja sam zapravo jako sretna da sam dobila dozvolu fotografirati ovako rijedak prizor - malo ljudi zivi tamo danas, nazalost.

je, sitan je i izgleda dosta star ali sam imala osjecaj da mu je zivot, iako vjerujem tezak, bio ispunjen i sretan. tamo je uvijek tesko bilo zivjeti, slabo je bilo povezano i ljudi su se uvijek iseljavali. drago mi je da sam ga uslikala, zajedno s prekrasnim konjima kakve dugo nisam vidjela i starim kolima

mogla sam povecati i samo lice (original je u raw-u, ovo je izrezano i smanjeno za web.), al sam htjela docarati cijelu kompoziciju. a i nisam ga htjela zadrzavati po toj vrucini i kad ima posla. jedan od malobrojnih zumbercana...

they were all posing...too bad the second horse is not visible, they really are beautiful animals. and grandpa was very nice, and i was happy that he allowed me to take some photos. did not wanna bother them anymore to go around and take more shots from different angles, it was so hot that day and they had work to do
turned it to b/w to add to the "old" feeling and cloned out the stop sign behind the horses

there is an opening in the tree foliage just above grandpa's head...looks funny but i did not wish to clone it out as it's a part of the nature...and stop sign isn't
