Description
this is a silhouette of a ballerina... an experiment with gray shadesdidnt go trick or treatin so yeah.. just stayed home and did this.

I have an obsesssion with Ballerinas and fairies being mixed. LOL I usually Slip them into something very balletic looking and add the slippers and boom. Very lovely pose! I have a Ballerina painting you might like check it out at [link] also [link]

I like the details that accentuate the muscles even though this is a silhoutte: like the wrinkles at the waist on her right side from the leg that is doing the arabesque.
I LOVE the hands. They are absolutely gorgeous. Conversely, the placement of the arms is just a little awkward. It's technically too high for a first arabesque position. It is however still beautiful.
The worst part, in my opinion are the feet. They're way too small for point shoes and they don't carry the distinct outline of a pointe shoe. I felt there could be a bit more definition, especially in the leg that is in the arabesque; it even looks like she's doing an attitude. I think that's due in part to the lumpy ankle.
But all in all, it's absolutely breathtaking.

This is amazing! And such a WONDERFUL concept! I think staying home for Halloween was worth creating this beautiful piece of art. Ever since I saw the Nutcracker last week, I've been OBSESSED with pictures of ballerinas!
