We call them Parking Lot chickens. I was wondering if you would allow me to use this image as a reference for a drawing in colored pencils. I love the colors and I think I am going to focus on iridescent birds for a gallery exhibit. Please. Pretty please.

Well worth the wait to get this shot showing the iridescence. So many shades of blue, I can't stop staring.

They are so pretty in the sun. Now if I can just get a glossy ibis the same way.... They're similar, only they're bronze and iridescent. Always come out looking dull brown.

I was looking for them whenever I was outside during our breaks while in Orlando and sadly didn't see any.

I was just happy it wasn't really hot! This summer has been too hot for me up here and my poor fans have been on since the 4th of July.

I don't think Florida gets all that much hotter than say...Cleveland does in the summer. It's just as hot/muggy/mosquito-laden up there as it is here in July/August. Here just takes longer for the heat to break, but then we get about 6 months of windows-open weather and they get SNOW. Screw that shit.

Seattle will usually only stay in upper 70s and maybe lower 80s here and there. We broke a record for most consecutive days without rain and I can't remember what year that broken record was. It's been consistent 80s-90s which keeps me away from the race track. When I went WA Cup day I left after 6 races from heatstroke and I was drinking tons of water.

If I had to pick another part of the country it would be that area. Partly cause "yeah rain!" and partly because it's one of the few parts of the US we didn't ever get to visit when I was a kid.

It's great with all the hills and if you live near the foothills the beautiful trees! We dont always get snow, but when we do it's the only time it sucks here. The reason being the damn hills and 80% of the population can't drive in it. I miss the rain and can't wait for it to come Sunday. If you live west of the Cascades you have the mountains and sound both within a day trip.

I really want to see that area. I want to see the old forests and Crater Lake is on my bucket list. I have never laid eyes on a volcano either. Must fix.

I have yet to go to Crater Lake myself! My. Rainier looks like a big mountain and by big it's just massive and I feel a great respect for it. I felt out of place not seeing Rainier most of the summer due to the haze. Late July to August is the best time to check out Paradise Park up there on Rainier and it lived up to its name. I want to see the Atlantic or step in it, my sister has twice now.

I've seen photos, but nothing "counts" until it's my own eyes.
In my experience the Atlantic is much like the pacific only wiht less rocks (at last at the beaches I went ot) <-- cat aided typos --> fo your viewing pleasur.
May I rrcommend the Gulg Of Mexico for a truly different experience? <---Seriously Drogo...I can't type like this! OMG! FUZZY TAIL UP NOSE!

See? Drogo does the same in the office chair and in the living-room too...and his fur is like spider silk. It CLINGS like no pet I've ever had. Or he just puts his front paws on my boobs and rubs his face all over mine if he feels like really grinding it into my eye-lashes.

I know! Simon just walks past me and his fur attacks me! I lint roll walking to my car, get to work and I'm still covered in his damn golden fur!
