Description
Shaka the black jaguar is a badly damaged individual; A defector from a brutal black ops unit of the fascist regime that sought to turn disposable soldiers into emotionally dead and unquestioning automatons who could kill indiscriminately, unburdened by conscience. The project almost succeeded, but some shred of humanity remained and after committing an atrocity, suddenly all the remorse Shaka had been conditioned to bottle up came crashing down on him.After several failed suicide attempts, he defected to the rebel forces, hoping that even a monster like what he had become might be able to do good in the world if turned against those who would create monsters. Although nervous, depressive and awkward in social settings, in battle Shaka's training kicks in and he fights on deadly autopilot, manoeuvring confidently and firing with rapid precision.

Woo! Got another digital picture done! I kinda lost inspiration about partway through this, so it it took me a while to finally get it finished. Inktober's fun but it's really been taking up my drawing time and inspiration a bit haha
I had wanted to try out a low angle shot of a character. I think this came out pretty well.
Special thanks to my friend reforger for his helpful input especially with the shell casings on the ground.

Hmm, I'm not familiar with the Hitman games, but sounds sorta similar. My inspiration was, in part, Jason Bourne. The indoctrination didn't quite stick with Shaka though and he virtually snapped under the guilt of what he'd done.

Also tho, not to boast but alas. Shaka does seems similar to a character of mine. But who cares. Nice artwork though. And the detail on the MP5SD gets the job done.

They're decent, same as usual though, first one or two are good but then it kinda goes downhill from there.

His name is Tyler Alex. A 32-year old Stickeporter (Stickeport is my country's state name, in StickVille). He lives dangerously in the suburban neighborhood. Scaring everyone around him. Despite being involved in a lot of crimes, he is always acquitted of all the trouble he does. So. Yeah. But he doesn't have military training and yet relies on good ol Stickeport ability. The 1954 radiation from bikini atoll passed down to him from his parents.

composition-wise, this is an awesome picture!! i love the perspective and size components. the shells and the floor remind me of really well-made 3d models
however, some of the coloring didn't seem to reach the edges of the fur, particularly on the elbows. probably a program fault tho, so don't worry
overall, i love this drawing and the tone it conveys!!~ awesome work!!

Haha yeah, poor bastard could really do with some real friends for once in his life. He's pretty desperate to have someone like him, but he's also terrified of approaching people in case he messes up his opportunity by being awkward.
Thanks very much indeed! It was somewhat different to things I'd attempted in the past. Haha an astute observation about the shells actually. My friend has been advocating using 3D modelling to help with such simple objects and I decided to take him up on it. He made me a model of some shells and sent me just the lines. I just inserted the lines in, added the text and some detail and then coloured them as normal. I can't quite decide if that's cheating or not, but I can't argue with the result.
Hmm, yeah, I haven't quite got my colouring inside the lines technique perfect yet. I try to do as much of the flat colours as possible with the magic wand tool to save time, but it does still tend to miss bits and pieces where the lines get thin.

Haha in fact, a hug is probably exactly what he needs. Inwardly he's pretty desperate for someone to like him, but he's so terrified of being awkward and messing things up with his new friends that he tends to keep at arms length.

Yeah I always liked the MP5SD's. I shot a real one in Las Vegas and was really impressed with how little recoil it seemed to have.

Haha yeah, kinda hard here in the UK as well. I visited the US a few years ago and went to Las Vegas specifically to shoot a bunch of guns. Las Vegas has ranges where you can go in off the street and shoot basically anything. I spent a small fortune there, even got to put 100 rounds through a minigun haha
