Another Monster Allergy fanart galore! I've been following up the story very closely and I see a definite love pattern here. Not a love triangle, but a love square! Teddy in love with Lay, Lay having a love-hate relationship with Teddy and an admiration for Zick, Zick having a boy-next-door crush on Lay and Elena having an obvious love-hate relationship with Zick. Lay is the daughter of a famous female Tamer (forgot her name) and has Tamer powers of her own, along with her older sister. She proves to be a better Tamer in the family and has lots of potential. She started appearing somwhere between Vol 10 and 20 when Zick and Elena tried to gather all the Tamers to fight the evil Head of Aguanas (witches), and Zick first had a crush on her when he came to her house to discuss battle matters with her mother. Of course, Elena was jealous and was miffed about how Zick gets all dopey around her.
Then somehow Teddy came into the picture and wanted to court her as well, thus this square love phenomenon. But then again, there was no obvious competition between Teddy and Zick over Lay because Zick's feelings was still leaning more towards Elena and he's busier saving the world than courting girls (other than the fact that he knew he was too young for her to even be noticed). Lay only treated Zick as her little brother, and she thought Teddy (who tried getting her attention by acting the bad boy type girls always love) was too immature for her. In Vol. 28, it revealed that she was having a crush on Dan Tulasech, their Tamer teacher, leaving Zick and Teddy (mostly) heartstricken

No, Dan is not related to anybody. He's another Tamer under the Tulasech Tamer family. A stand-alone character. BTW, did you know the Monster Allergy series is already finished? It stopped at episode 29
