Description Have a simple cartoon-ish drawing of Aart van der Meer while I'm still working on other pictures

Finally drew him again, I missed this cheerful wolfdog!

Those shoes... me want. That jacket is pretty fantastic as well.

I'd actually want to have his outfit, too

Great looking submission here.

The amount of detail on the facial area is very impressive, you do a great job making it appear that they have fur around the face and not just different colors.

The clothing looks good as usual, some nice subtle shading here and there and it has an interesting design.

The characters expression is pretty amusing, this seems like perhaps a humorous or fun loving character. (I try to have one of those in my cast to lighten things up a tad).

All in all everything looks good, good detail, good color, and excellent linage as usual.

Should be interesting to see what else you're working on.

Thank you very much! Your comments always make my day!

You caught his personality right - he really likes to have a fun and make jokes (I have just a few such characters, but I guess every story should have at least one funster )

Now I'm working on some other chars in this cartoon-ish style as well as on more realistic drawings

Glad to hear that.

Yeah, I think those characters are good to keep things from getting too dour, or dark; also it can be a good way to learn more about characters, as humorous types tend to comment on their observations whereas more broody or serious characters would probably keep certain observations to themselves.

I always admired the realistic style, though it would probably be too much upkeep to ever do that myself; sometimes the cartoony style kinda helps the viewer miss certain nit picks and small details that they might focus on with a more realistic style. Also cartoony styles can make for an image that has more broad appeal as well.

Anyway, good luck on your future submissions.

You can see him smiling or grinning often, he's quite optimistic
