So maybe you remember my last inktober drawing? I liked so much how it turned out that I wanted to make it bigger drawing some day and I’ve thought I would finish the another HTTYD drawing I have in progress, but I couldn’t make myself finish the colouring on the other one and instead this happened. It’s again (again means as my last HTTYD fanart) done with Derwent Inktense colour pencils (and water). (And now I spent like one hour trying to make the colours look at least a bit like in the real picture and I’m still not even sure what you can see at the end aargh. Why - WHY can’t the thing at least once look like in real?? Like for once? And there’s not even any red colour here! %// ). Anyway I like how this turned out as well. I originally wanted to make him fly only in the sky but then I got carried away bit with the darker blue(s) and so the sea happened. Heh, whatever.
By the way I was pretty confused when I realized that Windwalker actually isn’t the name of the particular dragon but of a dragon species and that it’s like that with lots of (or most of) dragons in the books like Silver Phantom or Deadly Shadow or Hogfly and it also was kind of… sad or sadly disappointing or how should I say it? But maybe most of the dragons in this world just don’t care for names? I mean Windwalker never seemed to be offended to be called Windwalker? It’s stil a bit weird. (yeah I’m aware of the thing with Deadly Shadow, it’s still just mostly called Deadly Shadow isn’t he)
