Description Shoot me now! I should not have painted each brick individually. Next time I'm making a texture map! :nods:

I did actually stream this, but, 99% of it was me zoomed into bricks. Which is the worst idea for a stream ever. Idk!

Anyways, I need to master environments so you should see some bigger pieces, environments, characters in said environments. All the things my portfolio is missing, Tbh..

Anyhu, love you and leave you my beautiful nerds <3

P,s is this even the right section to post it in, idk?!

I didn't know "Toad in the Hole" was a real dish

Have you never had one! You need a Yorkshire pudding they're amazing! www.amazon.com/Aunt-Bessies-Yo…

Those are the ones we have all the time. They're kinda expensive but you reallllly should try them. Have them with a roast chicken or whatever meat, veg, and gravy. I always put my gravy in the cups! You can buy the mix and put sausages in it to make a toad in the hole

No, but I will! That got added to my wish list

Awesome! Thanks When you make it with meat and veggies, do you just put the gravy in the cup and just use it to dip/spoon over the meat and veggies?

Late comment is late~
It was so much fun watching the stream as you were painting this. Such great and professional work! I ALSO LIKE THE FACT YOU'VE PAINTED EACH SLAB INDIVIDUALLY. Forever patient hahaha

I shouldn't really, I take too much time on my art, and I get very little done. But, I just love painting so

This is so beautiful! I hope to get to this level of painting in backgrounds! It's so crisp and clean and architectural in a way. Very lovely. I am not well placed to judge people's progress but I feel like you are improving a lot and experimenting a lot which really excites me and makes me want to do so as well

Nice to see you doing environments as well

If I may give you a tip... I'd add some more filth and randomness to make it more realistic. It looks really clean now. Add some forgotten plastic cup or chewing gum on the streets, some chips out of those rocky bricks or out of that staircase, some blown down leafs on that balcony, an 'open/closed' sign on the door of that cafe... or anything else that suggest the environment subject to natural entropy and people live in that place. Also, the way the bricks are position on the front (blue) building and the back (gray-ish) building make it very tangent-ish. It's possible to conclude what's foreground and background, but only if you look at the stairs and the door. I'd suggest you exaggerate atmospheric perspective a bit and water down the colors of the back-building a bit more to give it more depth.

Ilyaev In reply to DamaiMikaz [2017-05-14 15:20:13 +0000 UTC]

I won't add rubbish because thats gross! But I did add some chips into the area by the window, idk if I removed them.

DamaiMikaz In reply to Ilyaev [2017-05-14 15:35:38 +0000 UTC]

It depends on the amount of realism you want to go for, but even in a neat environment things often have scratches, cracks and chips out of it ^^

Ilyaev In reply to DamaiMikaz [2017-05-14 15:39:42 +0000 UTC]

I mean, I did do scratches. I'm just not adding rubbish like cups and things!
