Hey, guess what's my new fandom, folks

I've been more or less dead in submitting stuff save for TalesoftheBatala , but I want to go back to fanart drawing. Like, actual fanart, not just WoW fan character comics. Also get back to trying to make higher-quality art in general than quick black-and-white sketches. I've noticed many of my watchers have just about vanished, so here is my attempt to at least get new ones if not bring them back .

I actually discovered Punch-Out!! from trying to figure who this asshole is from 'Manly Guys Doing Manly Things' . I read the comments, looked up the links, TVtroped, and before I knew it, I was drawn into the franchise. It took me a while, though, to get my Wii fixed and obtain the Wii game itself, so until then, all I had were Youtube videos. The thing about those videos, though, was that most of the gameplay demonstrations were done by players who were already experts of the game--meaning they were never struck back, their combos were top-notch, and the opponents would just about never land a punch before they are TKO'd within the first or second rounds. And you know that, that's freaking boring. Not to mention misleading--the games are notorious for their difficulty, especially the NES version, so to watch Little Mac sandpaper Mr. Sandman like he's nothing stopped feeling less of a game or a fight and more of a piece of cardboard redundantly flailing on a stack of chewed up gum. Surely I'd probably watch these video games for ideas on how to master the technique, but it's not something I'd appreciate as a casual watcher.

Thankfully, I have the game now, and I appreciate the franchise more than I would have as a casual viewer. I just beat Soda Popinski on Contender and have Bald Bull to beat. I haven't gotten the timing on how to counter the Bull Rush without button mashing
