My beautiful girls! ^^
Lexi is getting Snowstorm Reverence going in Endurance racing and the weather is just right!
Training Discipline: Endurance
Location: The Cedars Trail | Wild Horse Acres
Rider: Alexandria Wallace
Horse: 10502 Snowstorm Reverence
Winter is nearing it's end, Spring is preparing to change the land. It's a good feeling. The temperatures begin to warm, snow starts to melt, and there's an anticipation in the air that everyone can feel.
Alexandria breathed in happily, the cool mountain air softly caressed the land and danced through her hair. Beneath the saddle Snowstorm Reverence galloped smoothly, the mare's feathered hooves barely making a sound against the soft soil. It was her first run on the trail, her first "challenge" in her Endurance training and she was taking it like a champ.
Lexi could help but swell with joy at how well the mare has adjusted to her new life, it was only weeks ago the Lexi had been given the papers and she was able to take Revera home. The Adoption event was something she could never forget. Her first meeting with the mare was unexplainable, such a depressed looking creature gazing at her with such hope it made her heart break. The week following that incredible encounter on the street Lex had spent bonding with the mare, and when she finally brought her home, Revera's eyes seemed so filled with light and life, Lexi swore she would never allow anything to cause the Gentle Giant to feel so hopeless again. It was worth every moment.
Revera was a generally happy mare at Wild Horse Acres. Lexi took care of her, trained her, and she would willingly abide by any command. Lexi appreciated her.
And at this particular moment, Lex couldn't be any happier.
Slowed to a gentle walk, she gave Revera a pat on her thick neck, a silent encouragement.
"What do ya say, girl?" Lex asked, gazing down the trail ahead, "Do you think you like stickin' with us?"
The mare answered with a light snort, lowering her head and laying her ears in a relaxed manner. Lex couldn't help but smile.
"Yea, I think you fit in just fine."
It's a fresh start for Snowstorm Reverence. The mare could melt away all her troubles and blossom into a new horse. There's change in the air.
Isn't that what Spring is all about?
