This is one of my Zodiac Senshi that I have never drawn aside from the group pic. She has a rose over her left ear, but you can't see it. She is a ballerina so I wanted a ballerina pose. I wish I had given her ballet slippers, but oh well.

It was suggested to me by that I should try using GPP (genuine people poses Hitchhiker's Guide reffy FTW!) So, here it is. I think it looks okay. She looks a bit fat and her face isn't quite right. Also I don't think I got the bow and broach big enough. I did the fuku on my own.

Will I draw more of my Zodiac Senshi? If people want to see them then maybe. See my folder for who I have and haven't' drawn.

comments are loved

Thanks. I used a signs book for the colors when I made mine.

Motion poses are amoung the hardest of all to do. Demonstrating motion in a single snapshot is a nightmare but you've managed it so well! You can see the flex in the body and how she's working hard to achieve the pose.
I don't think she's too fat. In the past it was nessassary for female ballerinas to have larger figures because of the sheer amount of power needed to get the steps and leaping right.
I love how you made her Spanish! It's a major problem I find in most anime characters is the sheer lack of people from anywhere outside of Japan or Europe. It's nice to see a character that demonstrates another part of the world.
I'd love to see the other members of the Zodiac Senshi. I'm interested to see where they've come from and what tallents they have.
The fact she's a dancer is such a neat idea. What if you gave her boots with a ballet ribbon design?

Thanks, I wanted to try something different form the normal pose and I really did! lol

I like the idea of them being from all over and being pulled together in Japan of course. They are all different in their own ways which is fun. I will be drawing them all I think!

btw have you watched Red Dwarf yet? I'm going to be looking on youtube! lol

I'm looking forward to seeing the others! (And I am going through my messages to see the ones you have done, I promise.)
I do like the idea of having people from ALL over the world coming together to protect the solar system. I know in Sailor Moon it was because they'd reincarnated in Japan but I still feel it works better with more people from other areas.

Not yet. It seems I'll need to hit Youtube as well to see the end of the Dwarfers. DAMN YOU, BBC!

Yeah, I thought that too. That way lots of different girls from all over could help out.

I did and it was there Sunday. It was great and I think you will love it. I did!

OMG... you had to pick one of the hardest pose to start GPP.... *faint* looked at the ref image... my god... that front leg.. (just doodled on a paper)

Anyway... i am Libra so always nice to see sailor Libra.

Nice work.

I agree with the longer torso comment.... and dont be afraid to pull her tummy in more (can pull it off in manga / anime sytle) more then what you see in the images.
Also bend things more then the image... eg the back.... make her bottom stick out more... & more defined.

Also a tip for boobs from the bottom of her neck (where the two bones meet... Draw an upside down heart as guidelines (based on angle amend the the sizes of the curve) if that makes sense. lol

Also like hotaru-sama666 wrote draw very basic at first and then build upon the basics

lol I wanted something that looked really Ballet-ish. I guess I did bite off more then I can chew.

Yeah, Libra is one of my fun ones. Then again I do like them all. *ish Cancer*

Thanks for all the tips. I'll try to remember them. Help is always nice. Since I don't seem to have an artist brain it's good to hear from others that do! lol

Thanks!

you do have have the artist brain.... it just the little tips that you pick up along the way...

Your art is like my own style that i use to have... which has in own sweet charm

If i can ever help or you want advice on how i do something... i am getting to the point in my own art that i am happy... still lots of work to be where i want... but i think the hard work never ends....

She's no so much fat at it seems that her torso is a tad short (which I also have this problem when it comes to my own art. It's something I'm trying to work on) and she's perhaps a bit busty as well (nothing wrong with that) XD

Anyway, I definently like what you've down with the pose and her face came out pretty good. Maybe you could do a lightly sketched out 'Sitck Figure/Gesture' drawing before refining the figure, this way uou can get your proportions right (or kind of right in my case). ^_^

Anyway, she came out very cute. ^_^

It's funny but either I draw too big boobs or none! lol

I did do that for once too. lol But I'm sure I'll get better if I keep doing it.

Thanks so much for the comments and help!

lol. I have a tencey to do the same thing in the boob department.

Just keep working at it and you'll get better. I mean, since your 'Bleach' picture, you've really been showing signs of improvment.

And you're welcome.

lol Chests are just hard!

I know, but at least since I've been using stock photos for (most) of my pose references, I've been able to vary to size a bit.

And precisely. Just keep practicing and you'll get better. ^_^
