Lol that made my day and a lot of that I agree with. Excluding the liberal part at the end, I wouldn't blame that on SJWS (found that part shoehorned in). Just on lazy "artists" making money off junk.

I personally think there's more to it than that. Different colors can be symbols. The reddish colouras could symbolize passion or sexuality, and the yellow paint from her mouth coud symolize illness (thowing up), jealousy and other things

But you could be vague about anything and still make some claim about what it means. I could look at a person frowning and say his/her family was murdered by rouge baboons. I don't get this stuff because the meaning can be made on the go. The problem is that if these are put along with classic paintings, it will give off the idea that you don't need to try to make art. You can just make something vague and add meaning after.

EXACTLY I AGREE! But if you take away meaning from this piece you will find a picture of a woman eating paint behind a canvas. But what I'm saying is that this stuff can be done with ease. Which is unfair to artists who put weeks into their work. If you put this in the same catagory as say Edward Mulch (for example) it makes his work seem unnecessary. It seems like you can get away with so much by saying it has a deep metaphorical meaning.

Im just speaking from my perspective but i couldnt have done a photo like this. I dont have the studio set up or a model, i dont have the paints, i wouldnt have the idea for the composition of this photo, i dont know how to take good pictures and i wouldnt know how to do the post-editing.
At the same time i could put weeks, even years, into an oil painting and it would look like shit :') Effort doesn't equal quality even if that seems "unfair" but that's just the way it is.
Dont get me wrong, you CAN get away with a lot of dumb shit by saying it has a metaphorical meaning but i dont think that's something to get upset about as everyone has a different perspective. I may look at a picture and think it's utter shit while a different person looks at the same picture and thinks it's powerful and brilliant

I can see where ya coming from and I can respect your point of view. But I don't think it's a good idea to use the opinion argument. The reason why is because that argument could be used for anything. You can get a turd with some sticks stuck in and say that it isn't bad because somebody likes it.
