wow, this is amazing. i should visit some time schulz was an excellent cartoonist

the comic strips with lucy leaning against schroeder's toy piano are my favorite.

i'm glad you like it! if you ever find yourself in st. paul, minnesota you should see them in person. they're all right in the middle of downtown so you can check them out anytime...

Wow, these are cool! That was cool that the city did this!! He was a great comic/cartoon maker/producer! Such a great way to remember him by!

yep! he grew up here, a lot of people don't know that. for five years we had statues of the different characters around town like the chicago cows project to raise the money for them. the first year was snoopy. there were 101 snoopy statues made from fiberglass and painted by local artists. in the fall the statues were auctioned off and the proceeds went to fund the permanent memorial. same thing for the next four years using different characters - year two: charlie brown, year three: lucy, year four: linus and year five was snoopy again. (this time though he was laying on top of the doghouse with woodstock). they still have photos of the linus statues and the snoopy and woodstock ones here:[link] click on photos at the top of the page.
